1. MAPPING, INVESTIGATION

In the field of hydrogeology, the Division for Water Resources Planning and Investigation for the South of Vietnam has a capacity to execute the following work:

1. Mapping

- Hydrogeological maps on the different scales from 1/25.000 to 1/500.000

- Hydrogeochemical Maps

- Maps of studied groundwater points

2. MONITORING

Purpose of monitoring system is study and evaluation of changes in dynamics and quality of groundwater for exploitation, use and stable development of groundwater resources.

3. MODELLING

Division for Water Resources Planning and Investigation for the South of Viet Nam uses two specialistic softwares for groundwater modelling:

- Visual MODFLOW: Copyright Waterloo Hydrogeologic Inc. (180 Columbia StW.-Unit 1104 Waterloo, Ontario, Canada), developed by Nilson Guiguer and Thomas Frans. Plentiful practical applications and simple use for simulation of 3D flow and material transport with three modules: MODFLOW, MODPATH and MT3D.

- GMS (Groundwater Modeling System): Product of EMRL (The Environmental Modeling Reseach Laboratory belongs Brigham Young University - USA). GMS software includes graphic interface and 9 specific modules (MODFLOW, MT3DMS, RT3D, SEAM3D, MODPATH, SEEP2D, FEMWATER, NUFT and UTCHEM).

Completion models:
